Randy glanced through the halls, trying to imagine how his sister braved it. How he wished he had his mp3 player!

"Hey! Wait up!" came a voice from behind Randy. Payton ran up to him. "Hi I'm Payton. I'm new and I have absolutely no idea where I am. Think you can help me find the dorms?" she asked, somewhat out of breath after sprinting to catch up to him.

"I-I-I c-c-an't. I just got here, t-t-t-oo." he stuttered. Of course, girls appeared when his sister was gone.

"Dude, you look like you've seen a ghost," Payton joked with a small laugh. "Bro, relax. We'll look together, kay?" she said, nudging his arm with her elbow.

Randy jerked backwards. "H-h-have you seen R-r-reed M-m-murray anyw-w-where?" he managed to say. God, he'd have to take so many baths now. The feear. ;__;

"N-n-no. I-I h-haven't," Payton imitated Randy's stuttering. "Calm down. You're starting to look a little pale. I mean, seriously, being so jumpy can't be good for your health. Lighten up, would you?"

His hair and eyes turned pure blue. Randy clenched his fists, forcing back tears as she mocked him. "Shut up!" he said quietly, taking deep breaths.

Payton stared in shock when his hair hanged color but then she realized Randy was on the verge of crying. "Don't cry! I didn't mean it. I was just teasing. Look, I'm sorry, ok?" she apologized frantically. She didn't realize he was that sensitive. Great. First day here and I already made some kid cry, she thought.

Randy rubbed his eye on his sleeve. "I-I-I'm not gonna cry. Boys don't cry!" he said, sniffling..

"Everyone cries sometimes," Payton said. "It's nothing to be ashamed about, really."

"I don't see my sister cry." he said. "So I won't." he said. Yeah, they were twins and all, but she was still his hero.

"I'm sure she cries every once in a while," Payton said. "By the way, that's a pretty cool power you have. Can you look like anyone you want?" she asked, trying to change the subject to something less depressing.

"Right now, I can only change colors." he sighed. Maybe one day, he could look like one of tthe Gurdians, then ask the Headmaster why they where doing this! :DD

"Oh. Well, that's still pretty cool," Payton complimented.

"What's your power?" he asked, forcing away the stutter. Darn! Was she gonna use her power agianst him?

ic: The pale skinned boy walked slowly through the hallways, eyes trained on the ground in front of him. As he walked, he didn't lift his gaze. Before he had known it, he had bumped into someone. Looking up, he saw an unfamiliar face. He was tall and looked shy like him, and he took a giant step backwards, giving a yelp. "S- Sorry!!" he apologized, clutching his right arm and jerking his head down, facing the ground shyly.

"Ah!" Randy almost screamed in fear at the appereanece. "W-w-who are you?" he said, taking long deep breaths, trying to get his eyes back to their normal color.

Happy almost jumped at Randy's yelp. A giant chill shot up his spine. "I'm sorry!" he said louder. "I'm- ... d'uhh..." He hesitated, shuffling backwards. "My name is Happy," he said quickly. "Sorry, sorry!"

Randy would've held his hand out, but he was scared Happy would probably eat him. "R-r-randy."

ic: "Mmph..." he responded, which... wasn't really what anyone would consider a response, and started doing some weird swaying thing he always did. He had barely noticed Payton standing there, and when he did, his face just brightened up into redness. Rubbing the upper part of his arm nervously, he watched his feet, refusing to look them in the eye. "N-- uhhhmmm... did I- I dist... turb anything!?" he asked shakily.

"Not at all," Payton said with a friendly smile. "But do you think you can point us to the dorms? We're new around here and kind of lost."

"Oh-- umm..." He thought about it a moment. He turned and motioned slightly with a movement of his palm. "Over... there..." he whispered quietly.

"Awesome. I'm Payton by the way. It's nice to meet you, and thanks for the help," she said to Happy. "Let's go Randy," Payton gave a slight gesture of her hand she began to walk down the hall.

Randy was scared stiff at the thought of a girl offering to be alone with him. "C-c-coming." he said, stutter back.

Payton continued walking for awhile until she came to a fork in the hallway. "Aw, crap. Now which way?" she asked herself in frustration. "That kid could've been a little more specific. Which way do you wanna go?" she asked turning to Randy.
