Just an idea that I've seen work well on other forums. :D
Whenever a mod or admin makes an OOC comment on the direction of the thread/scolding/warning/etc., they color their posts.
Like so:

You mean edit the post and add in the comments? Sure. I've seen it work as well.

I think it's pretty neat, but it shouldn't be official, the admins and mods can color their posts without a rule or something to guide them. That's just my opinion though o3o
