| Carter walked up to Rose, Khopesh in hand. He had practiced with it a little over by the courtyard, but it was still hard for him to master. He supposed that he'd focus on his actual power this trip anyway.
Whenever they had asked for volunteers for the gathering trip, Carter had jumped at the chance to go. He was one of the first to sign up, actually. The boy was taking this seriously and tapped his fingers on the blade as he waited for others to appear. Looking over, he shot a quick smile to Rose, but said nothing. | |

bic: Payton walked up to the assembled students with her hook swords gripped in her right hand and her left hand was in her hoodie pocket. She wanted to come on this trip because she had thought it would be good opportunity to practice with her hook swords, but more importantly, she wanted to make sure she would be there if anyone got injured. | |
