A Million Wandering Souls

Reed had walked these halls a few times. One of those most recent times she had met a strange boy, who knew almost everything about her. He had been interesting, but kind of creepy. This time, she saw no sight of him, and was kind of glad. She stopped in front of a particularly fancy piece of tapestry, and laid her hand flat on it. She realized that she wasn't only able to change her appearance to look like someone else, but maybe she was able to camouflage herself. Change her appearance to match the walls or something. She stood, completely focused on trying this, paying not attention to her surroundings.

AND GUESS WHO CAME TO RUIN HER HOPES AND DREAMS?

Eyes shone from the corner of the hallway, quite disturbingly. "Long time no see, Reed Murray... C:<"

Reed jumped nearly a foot off the ground when she heard the familiar creepy voice. Oh crap, she thought. Not him.

"Heh, Kody. Hi. What brings you around here?" She asked, turning around, and only seeing some glowing eyes around the corner. Why was he so creepy?

ic: Kody stayed in the disturbing peering look he was giving her. He looked like a complete shadow, just with his shining glasses visible on his face. "Oh, no reason. I just know that you come here about at 8:00 from the cafeteria," he explained.

Reed sighed. She completely did not understand this kid. But she bet no one did.

"That's not creepy." She muttered sarcastically. Annoyed by his creepy look, she headed towards where she could see the entire Kody. "Stop being so creepy." She said, not in a rude tone, but in a 'please, I don't want to beg you' tone.

Kody rolled his eyes, straightening his glasses. "Oh, is it working? I'm glad you noticed," he chuckled, stepping away from the corner.

When he motioned his arm to say something else, his notebook fluttered from his grasp and crashed to the ground, the papers streaming out, and flying away.

"NOOO!!" Kody pushed Reed to the side of the hallway as he chased after the papers. But, alas, they managed themselves outside and into the air, never to be seen again.

Kody stood, staring at the sky, eyes wide. He brought his head down, trying to contain his anger by clenching his fists. His fury made him shake, and his breaths came heavy.

Reed grunted when Kody shoved her, and was about to yell at him about it, when she saw the state he was in.

"Uh, dude, you alright?" She asked, actually afraid to approach him.

Kody stood still. "Am I okay?" he repeated softly. "Oh, no. No, Reed. I am not okay." He turned slowly, glaring as he did a few moments ago, except, this time, it was creepier than ASDAFDALKLG!

"Come here, Reed. Come here," he beckoned with a finger.

Reed's eyes turned a dark teal color, and her hair appeared the same as Kody's. Why this occurred, she no clue. If she was scared, her hair normally turned white, and her eyes icy blue. Her skin normally drained of all color, but now it was a tan. She didn't want to step forward, but she suspected that he might come to her if she didn't. So she came closer.

"J-just to l-let you know, I-I-I didn't d-d-do that." She stuttered very badly. She never stuttered.

Kody couldn't help but laugh, too enraged to notice her freakish change. "Oh, you didn't? Are you sure?"

He continued to glare with furious rage. "Do you know what I do to people who mess with my notes!?"

A fist crashed past her, slamming into the wall. It didn't do much; just gave a dent, but you could still tell he was pissed, couldn't you?

Reed felt like she might cry. She hadn't done anything. It was entirely his fault. But, had she caused him to gesture like that because she had walked towards him?

A tear streamed down her face as the fist crashed past her. She sniffled a little, and did what she didn't expect her self to do. She hugged him. She leaped forward, and hugged him.

"I-I'm sorry." She sobbed. She was, even if she didn't do anything. She let go of him, and looked down, ready for anything.

"Do you know what I do to little twats who love to threaten a lady?" Stephen appeared behind Kody, towering over the blonde, his arms were crossed and his eyes slit. dude kody, ur creepin' me out brah. DD8 sadfasdfhasog

Kody turned, unconcerned about him. "Do you know how much I don't give a shit right now?" he snapped back.

Turning, he glared. Information! His hands were brought up, ready to write. Oh, yeah.

"Stephen Malone, age seventeen," he growled disgustedly. Folding his arms, he glared at him some moar.

Reed stood still, now looking up. She was suddenly ignored.

"I, I can get you a new notebook." She muttered quietly. "The least you could do is start over. I might be able to help." She added, wondering if he even heard her, or would even care. She didn't care about the other guy defending her. She was trying to be nice.

"It won't be the saammmeeeee..." he sang, glaring back at her, a forked tongue flickering from his mouth. (seems anime-ish ;u;)

"Very good." Stephen praised Kody sarcastically, "He also had the power to take away your senses and renders you helpless while he kicks your ass and send you straight to the infirmary." His gaze flicked back to Reed, not bothered with her well being much, nor about about the notebook. He just wanted to be sure this prick knew his place. Steve watched mildly to see if Kody would let up.

"Come ooon." Reed whined, putting on her best begging face, changing her appearance to the cutest little face ever. He couldn't resist that. "It's worth a try, right?"

"Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of... Well, I'm just not listening," he said, waving a hand by Stephen's face. "Worth a try? Worth a try!? That notebook had everything I ever known and loved in it!" he shouted.

Stephen actually snickered under his breathe. This was actually kinda amusing. Kody = Forever alone.

Reed attempted not rolling her eyes at his stubborness. If this next trick didn't work, she had something else she could try. She forced a tear to roll down her cheek, looked really sad and said, "but now it's gone, I understand. But in order to earn back that love, you're going to need to start over."

Kody lost it, and he fell to his knees. "I'm gonna... be siiiiicckkkkk!!" he started sobbing, pounding on the ground with a fist in a Death the Kid position on the ground.

"My life is ruuuiinned! RUINED, I SAY!"

Kody finally rolled onto his back and twisted and turned with sorrow in a OHSHC "I wanna see Haruhi in a swimsuit!" position.

Reed was now done at attempting to help him. Her second idea might not work in this situation, but she could try.

"You disgust me." She muttered. Bringing up her volume a smige, she started again. "Do you really think we'd be able to find all those pages? To put your precious book back together? No. So would you rather die a terrible death without your dear book, or do you want to start over? It may not be the same, but it's something." She scolded. He was a young man, only a little older than her. What a disgrace.

Kody's glasses cracked at her words. No, really. They seriously cracked.

"Wh- wha--!?" He stared down at the ground glumly. "O- okie....." he submitted, standing up now.

Reed smiled, she had gotten him to get up. But now what? They get him a new notebook? She smiled sweetly.

"Good." She said with a sugary sweet voice.
