Zex and Cadey at lunch

Zex got his lunch and sat down, using his telekinesis to faintly pull Cadey towards his table.

Cadey rolled her eyes, sitting next to Zex. "You're pathetic." she said.

"H-huh?" Zex stuttered, blushing again. "It's just that..nevermind," Zex said as he took a bite of a burger he had.

"Just what?" Cadey asked, turning towards him.

"Well, I kinda.....you know...l-like you...." Zex mumbled as he continued to eat.

Cadey smiled. "Not half bad yourself." she said, and took a bite of a burger.

"Thanks. So...uhh...what do you think of the school thus far?" Zex said, trying to make conversation.

"Still broing as old schools." she said.

"Heh, I wonder how long before that changes," Zex said as he finished eating his burger. "I'm gonna go take a nap. See ya later."

"Aww, but I just got here!" A voice complained, slightly nudging Zex, summoning him to sit down. "And much like Kesha, with me here, the party has started.. And it looks like you two need one." The light, clear voice laughed and the owner of the beautiful voice sat down next to the two. Melody smiled as she picked at her jello, playing with it and torturing the poor jelloy goodness. "I'm Melody." She greeted with a wink for effect. "Pleasure to meet me you."

Cadey finished her burger, too. "Might as well stay." she said, pulling him back down.

Zex sat back down next to Cadey. "Okay. Melody, what's your gift anyways?"

"I'm Cadette. Call me Cadey. I have Sonic Screech." she said.

Melody raised her eyebrow at Cadette, then laughed loudly. "That's awesome! So like, basically, we could be sisters. I don't exactly know the name to my power, but it also has to do with sound. I can put people to sleep with merely the sound of my singing." She said, maybe a little to proudly.

"And that's where Melody comes in? Intresting." she said.

Zex laughed at Cadey's joke. "Anyways, it seems like a form of hypnosis, Melody."

Melody ignored Cadey's joke, not to be rude, but for the fact that she had heard it to many times for her liking. Yes, it was ironic that her name was Melody. But she didn't blame them, she knew that they didn't know that she'd already heard it. But seriously, coooornnnny. Turning to Zex, she placed her hand under her chin, setting her elbow on the table. She mulled it over for a second, looking at the ceiling. "Hmm... I suppose so. It can knock people out easily, and then they're out for a while, but I never thought of it as hypnosis. I guess you're right." She said, looking at him and shrugging.

"I just make people death. And the sound waves can let me fly. And I can explode things." she said.

"...And I know Telekinesis," Zex said, yawning. "Anyways, can I go take a nap now?" he said jokingly.

Melody shook her head in mock disappointment. "Sleep's overrated- wait, nevermind. Yeah, I understand the importance of sleep. Go ahead, do you need someone to sing you a lullaby?" She joked. "Cause I'm your gal."

"You can have him. I don't want that anyway." Cadey said happily.

Zex quickly got up and started walking back to the dorm, almost running.

Cadey glanced after Zex. Oh well. He'd get over it.

Melody chuckled, shaking her head. She looked at Cadey and toke a small bite of her salad. "So, hi. How are you doing?" She asked calmly, trying to restrike a conversation.

"Like most teens usually are." she said with a shrug. "You?"
