I'm Not Afraid~

Michael stepped into the gym, wearing swim trunks and a shirt that was too big for him. He walked over towards the pool, slipped off his backpack, and slipped off his shirt. He put it in his backpack, and left it a few feet from the corner of the pool. He climbed to the top of the ladder on the high-dive. He stood towards the back, and a song played through his head. "I'm not afraid, to take a stand, everybody come take my hand we'll walk this road together, through the storm, whatever weather, cold or warm, just letting you know that, you're not alone, holla if you feel like you've been down the same road~" He took a deep breath, his red eyes sparkling. He tensed for a moment, and sprinted forward, leaping off of the board. He dove into the pool, shooting back up out, under his feet a blast of ice. He shot up into the air, flipped, and kicked off of the ice that remained frozen in the air, and dove back into the pool. He surfaced, grinning. He frowned, as he realized it refused to melt on his command. He sighed and punched the ice, sending small shards everywhere, which melted quickly. He smiled, and swam to the edge, and hoisted himself up. He dipped his toes in the water, and shook his head, sending small droplets of water flying everywhere. He stood up, to find someone standing behind him.

Swimming had been becoming a frequent hobby as of lately for Nathaniel, coming out in black trunks, a towel hanging down from around his neck. He hadn't expected another person to be here, as it was usually only him at this hour, and certainly didn't expect to see the show that was put on. He glanced back at the doors leading to the locker rooms. Where was Teegan? Why did girls always take so long to change? She needed to see this. Nate was impressed, never seeing anything like it. He stayed quiet and stood there until the stranger lifted himself out of the pool. It vaguely reminded him of someone else. "So, you can control ice." He mused, looking down at the white-haired stranger, seemingly older than Nathan was himself. He glanced back at the pool, large structures of ice now sticking out. He was a little more hesistent to just jump on in now...

OOC: He punched most of it apart. He's strong. cx

He jumped, whirling around. "Yes. And as did my sister." he answered, and as he clenched a fist behind his back, the remaining ice melting into the pool, making the cool just a biitttt colder.

Nathan frowned, 'Did?' It didn't feel right to question, but something just kept popping up in his mind. He swore, there was someone else in this school who had that icey-touch... He thought harder about it. Yeah, his brother's friend. What was her name again? ... "May?"

"Did you know her, or something?" he inquired, raising one of his silver eyebrows.

Nate shook his head, shrugging. "My brother talked about her all the time. Well, I mean, not as much as Katie, but..."

Teegan shifted awkwardly as she looked at herself in the mirror. She had been hesitant to join Nate when he invited her to go swimming, but decided last minute to join him. Now she was here worrying if her swimsuit showed to much, even though it was a one peice, the girl knew Nate had a girlfriend and didn't want to look showy. Yikes! Taking a deep breath she grabbed her orange towel and headed out to the pool. She walked awkwardly over to Nathaniel, only after slipping on a puddle. Blushing the girl spotted anyother boy. He was a few years older than she and she quickly wrapped her towl tightly around herself, feeling extremely uncomfortable. "Hi." She finally said quietly.

"Katie? I believe that used to be one of May's friends. And hello~" he added, looking at Teegan.

Nate crossed his arms, "You keep saying she 'used to' and she 'did'." He questioned. Josh had been whining non-stop about how Katie and May had been missing these past few days. Being this one of the girl's brother, perhaps he knew where one of them went exactly? "Did may examine out early or something?" His eyes flickered backward, "Hey, Teegan. Maybe you could jump in and test the water first? ... It looks kinda cold." He said lightly, flicking his eyes a little irritably back to Michael. Yeah, thanks a lot.

"No. They're both dead." he responded, no emotion showing in his face nor his voice. "And my bad about the ice. It at least doesn't bother me."

Teegan looked at the other boy curiously. He didn't look very friendly, but than again anyone who took things and manipulated them didn't look friendly. Her eyes flicked awkwardly between Nate and Michael. Did she miss something? She shifted awkwardly and stared at the water. Nate was right how were they supposed to swim?

His eyes suddenly grew wide, "Dead?" He shot a glance at Teegan, and suddenly the tempature of the pool wasn't the most important thing on his mind anymore. "How?"

"The cause of death is unknown, but they were found dead along with another kid.. Kody, i think was his name. Irene told me. Does your brother know yet?" he asked, a little bit of emotion returning to his voice. "And if you need me to, i'll withdraw some of the cold from the water, but i'll have to find somewhere to put the ice." he added.

Teegan let out a very audible gasp, and put her hand over her mouth. She felt her knees go wobbly and had to grab onto Nate's arm to keep steady. Realising she was touching him the girl let go quickly and blushed furiously. "Dead." She muttered quietly still wobbling slightly. Like Nate the pool's temperature didn't seem to be the most pressing matter at hand.

"No." Nate's eyes flickered, ignoring his comment about the water. He helped catch Teegan, even as she let go, he held her shoulder. "Don't fall on us." He muttered to her, glancing back up at Michael. Damn, he had just hoped to go have some fun with a friend. This was not all like he had expected. "I need to tell Josh."

Michael frowned. "If you want, i'll go with you. According to Katie he doesn't seem like someone that would believe something so sudden." He jogged over to his backpack and slipped on a shirt that fit a bit better. He slipped the backpack on over his shoulders, and jogged back over to the two.

Teegan twisted the end of her orang towel as she stared at the boys. Still having her furious blush on her cheeks as Nate had his hand on her sholder. "I don't think..." She started nervously shifting her weight from foot to foot. "I don't think I can tell anyone about somone being..." She couldn't say it. Just the thought of someone being... dead made her turn slightly green which clashed greatly with her naturaly red blush.

Nate paused for a moment, then nodded at Michael. It'd be better if he were there to help explain... That and Josh was pretty nasty when he was angry, so someone to watch his back was a little comforting for when the news was delivered. "You can go back to your dorm if you want." He looked down at Teegan, not paying any mind to her feelings at the moment, "We need to go tell him as soon as possible."

Michael nodded, and made a gesture towards the door. "You're probably the only one that knows what dorm he's in other than his roommates, so."

Teegan shifted lightly, and folded her arms around herself. "If you're going to the dorms I'll walk with you." She said quietly. "Only if you don't mind.I have to get my stuff anyway." She muttered under her breath, staring with wide eyes up at both of the boys. Although she doubted the boys would respond, she couldn't imagine having to tell someone that devistating news. Actually she could, it was strange how suddenly her eyes filled up with tears. This brought back bad memories of her past, that she would rather not relive. "I'm going to go get my stuff." She said quietly, running and well slipping her way to the changing rooms. She couldn't let them see her crying. This was about the poor souls who lost their lives, not her past.

He nodded quietly to the both of him. Yeah, actually, he probably spent more time in that dorm than he did his own; with both his brother and girlfriend being there and what-not. "We'll meet you outside." He said to Teegan, though the same could be said for Michael. Needing to get dressed himself he ran back into the rooms, not wanting to waste time. Le time skip? cx

OOC: Why don't we make a new topic in the doorms? Then his other roommates can hear. And Mel will be there. /shot
