Finally Outside :D

It was a beautiful day as Sarah sat on the edge of the giant fountain in the middle of the heard just out front of the entrance of the school. It was the first time she had come here ever since she entered the school and it had now become her favorite place with the fresh green grass, the large shady trees, and the rushing water of the fountain. There was something weird about it. It was... actually peaceful. Barely a soul around other than the birds chirping in the trees and squirrels running about. She finally felt one with nature again. Everything felt clean and pure just as nature intended it... until she heard someone walking up behind her...

Josh quietly walked up towards the fountain in the middle of the school's enterance, hoping to get some peace with himself. He definately wasn't himself after the news from Nate and the new kid. What was his name? Oh, right. Michael. And I was about to ask Katie out. This whole school isn't right, he thought, with a grimace on his face. He wasn't looking, and bumped right into Sarah. "Oh! Sorry!" he exclaimed, his cheeks bright red.

Sarah didn't go far since she had expected the person to make an appearance but she still stumbled forward and got grass stains on the dress she was wearing. Quickly standing up and brushing off the dirt, her face was almost as red as Josh's. "No, no, it's okay!" She exclaimed nervously as she looked up at the stranger with a small reassuring smile.

Josh stumbled backward, hoping to give himself a little space. So awkward.. he thought, and gave a half-hearted smile. "O-oh, okay. I'm Josh. Nice to meet you." Josh held out his hand, gesturing for them to mebbe shake hands. xD

Sarah nervously reached out and grabbed his hand, shaking it with a small tremble of embarrassment. "I-I'm Sarah. It's nice to meet you too," she said softly. It was weird to rn into someone she had never met before. But then again, this school was huge. She was sure there were a ton if people whom she didn't even know faces to.

Josh shakily put his hand back down, giving a weak smile. "Are you trying to get peace out here too?~" he asked, gesturing in a circle, basically meaning he was gesturing about the entire area, since it was pretty as derp. xD

Sarah nodded quickly. "Yeah. It's so nice out here. I think it is the only place I can feel relaxed. Everywhere else is surrounded by people and this fountain is just gorgeous," she replied, staring at the sparkling streams of water that poured out of the top of the cement statue. "I finally feel like I'm back at home and connected with nature again," she smiled as she got lost in her dream world but quickly snapped back to reality. "What about you? Any specific reason you are out here?"

"I need to get away from all of the people, too. Too many people feeling sorry." he answered, the faint smile dissapearing.

Sarah's expression suddenly changed as Josh's face suddenly elongated. "What's wrong?" She asked, concerned for the boy she just met. She hadn't heard any news of the late passings recently so she was clueless.

"N-nothing." he murmured. It was obvious that it wasn't nothing. XD

"I don't believe you," she responded heasitantly. If he didn't want to talk about it, she didn't want to push it, yet he seemed like he needed to talk. "What is wrong, Josh?"

"Did you ever meet May or Katie?" he asked, his voice kind of shaky.

Sarah pondered over the names for a few minutes before shaking her head. She thought she had heard the names, but she never met either of them. "No, I haven't. Why?"
