Irene nodded softly, looking up at him, her bright green eyes shown dimly in amusement. "Of course." she told him, dismissing his gratitude lightly. It was only one of her school duties, not like she needed to tell him that, though. It was kinda nice being regarded as some other student rather than a powerful guardian, to which she was near certain if Brendan knew he'd be on his sharp guard, much like he had been when she had confronted him not too long ago. "You've found the conservatory." she commented, "It's usually just me here, though. I'm sure you've seen the forest and the courtyard. Let's head inside the building, then." The blonde took off quietly and kept in a light pace equal to his, each step light and dainty. She supposed they could start at the cafeteria and work their way up the floors.

The cafeteria would be fantastic since Brendan's stomach couldn't help but call out to him and tell him constantly that he was rather hungry. Thankfully, though, the actual sound was muted and only loud enough to ring faintly in his ears even if he was worried that Irene could hear it. He glanced over at her through the corner of his eye as they walked just to make sure that she wasn't disturbed by his belly or anything he did for that matter, although from how she intimidated him earlier, he was sure she would tell him if she was bothered or not so he simply let the issue go and walked along side her with a small smile on his face. "This is a really nice place. How long have you been here?" He asked as they made their way to the main building.

The young woman paid no mind to any of the hunger-issues that Brendan was having, and did not notice anything else at fault, or at least if she did; she didn't let it show. Luckily for him, it was too far from the courtyard entrance, just down the main hall. "It was once the private mansion of our headmaster, a very fortunate man." Irene told him quietly, giving way to the explanation why there were so many home like paintings and decorations throughout the entire campus. "I've been here a few years now - I'm one of the school's first students." She looked a little proud of that fact as he paused their walk in front of a few double doors. "Inside here is the cafeteria. If you'd like to grab something to eat, now would be the perfect time." She wasn't sure how he imagined it, but he would find it was more like one extremely large dining room - or some floor to a beautiful resturaunt, rather than the traditional school cafe. It simply had the food service at the end. though, the image was totally ruined on the days when they served things like fast food and tacos and there were crowded lines in the back. thankfully, today wasn't one of those days. xD

"Wow that's really cool! So this isn't a very old school?" Brendan asked before stopping in front of the large double doors. He listened intently as she told him what was inside, and almost immediately his face lit up. Food was in there! Relief flooded through him as he realized that he could fill his empty stomach since he hadn't eaten since before he got here and it was quite a long trip. He then took a short breath to keep himself calm. "It would be nice if I could grab a small snack real quick. I haven't eaten in quite a while. That is, if it's okay with you."

Irene shook her head to add a little more life to her answer. "No, not at all." The young woman quietly bit her lip, holding back a look of amusement as he obviously glowered at the prospect of food. Usually the new students who had just arrived were expected to gather all their things together and move in properly before joining the rest of the students to eat at the formal time, but honestly it was the middle of the day, and on a weekend none-the-less. It wouldn't have been a big deal at all if he stayed there all day, if he had wanted. "Go ahead." she said, releasing her grip on him. "Hurry up, though." She'd hate to be kept waiting.

"Thank you!" He breathed a sigh if relief as he ran inside. He could tell she wasn't one to wait so he quickly gathered his things and gathered his wonderful food in the magnificent cafeteria/dining room. It seemed to be glorious inside but he didn't pay attention much to the decorations or anything; the inky thing he focused in was the food. When he finally received it, which seemed to be pretty quick, he ate it quickly (whatever it was) and soon returned to Irene, hoping he hadn't kept her waiting fir too Kong. Of course, his fast eating came with a price. He had crumbs sitting in the collar of his shirt with a little bit if sauce on the corner of his mouth, something he would have noticed earlier if he wasn't rushing. "Okay, I'm ready," he said, not noticing his little messes.

Irene let out a small, exasperated sigh, though the slight look of amusement still lingered on her face. She waited out in the hallways, going to stand by a window and mildly paying attention to the students who passed by, who seemed to steer clear of her anyways. She ended up tapping her fingers on her window seal when Brendan had come back out. He had obviously hurried himself, perhaps a little too fast. "Hold on." She held up a hand to stop him in his tracks. Quietly Irene walked up to him and lifted one hand, doing him the favor of brushing the crumbs off of his collar. She then went to pull out a small handkerchief out of her pocket, handing it too him. Not exactly wanting to wipe his mouth for him, she pointed to the small area on her face as a sort of clue in before turning around walking away, headed to the library.
