| Happy was just randomly waltzing around the courtyard aimlessly. Yes, waltzing. >:C I don't know what the hell he was wandering around for, but he eventually sat down for no apparent reason. Why was he in the courtyard anyway? Maybe because he wasn't expecting someone else to be out besides him. Nah, he was here cuz Piney said so And stuff is gonna happen in this topic.
Eyes closed, Happy leaned back against the bench. Arms behind his head and resting against them, back leaning on the bench. It was only a few moments afterwards when he blinked his eyes open to see some unfamiliar girl out on the courtyard. Why was there always someone out in the courtyard when he was? Was it just many awkward coincidences?
The girl on the courtyard was no other than Pine. Electricity? What are you talking about? Her power's not electricity. Her power was-- well, you'll find out later on. cx Pine seemed to be practicing her aiming with a peculiar looking bow. Blonde hair flowing behind her as she was in a stance, she aimed at a tree. The arrow was normal; the one she was aiming with, but on her back lay 3 neatly packed arrows with a heart-shaped tip. Releasing the arrow, it soared forward and stuck into a tree. Satisfyingly, Pine lifted out of her stance, being deep in focus. She was using normal arrows instead of her "special" ones. "So close," she said, rubbing the back of her head. Turning on a heel, she immediately noticed Happy. How long had he been sitting there watching her?
Long enough. Happy watched with interest, musing about her archery skills. He tried to act casual, as if he weren't watching her, but when she started walking over, he shriveled down into his seat, eyes down. Go awaaaaaiiiiyyyyyy >A< Daring to look up, he saw her sitting next to him, and he skittishly scooted onto the farthest edge of the seat. Pine eagerly scooted right next to him, a sly grin. "Bonjour, pretty boi~" she purred, leaning into him. Like, WTF? Just met this dude. Personal spaaace ;3;

| Melody had been on her way to no place in particular, walking as aimlessly as her now only friend. Ever since her and Nate kinda... Went their separate ways for some time, Melody had been for the most part a wreck. She tried to be fine, to feel like nothing was wrong, but that just didn't seem to happen. It was like trying to make yourself fall in love, but harder. Because now she had to force herself out of it. Because it was the strange way Melody thought, her thoughts lyrics and beats, she couldn't help but put a song with this present crisis. She had to search through her mental playlist, and got; Breath, Haunted and The Story of Us, all by her favorite singer, Taylor Swift. Don't judge. In her head, she repeated those songs, though she wasn't really lucid, so the songs got mixed and messed up. Not that it mattered. The story was the same. So, I suppose what Miss Delangelo needed now was someone to talk to. Or, maybe just a shoulder to cry on? Perhaps some reassurance, a reason to believe that she didn't just get into a huge fight with her boyfriend, that might not get resolved, for nothing. Yep. What she needed now, was Happy Rhoden. So whenever Melody spotted him in the Courtyard, her heart lifted just a little bit from that little corner of storm clouds and depression that it had been wallowing in for the past few days. She put on a smile as she ran up to him, not paying any mind to the girl sitting beside him. "Heeeey Kitteeeeen!~" She cooed, coming to a stop in front of him. If you thought about it, maybe Mel and Harm weren't that different. But that was for another time. She'd have sat next to him, but Pine was in the way. She didn't pay any attention to that slight burn of annoyance in the back of her mind. What was that? ... Jealousy? No, of course not. Because a feeling like that would imply that there were other feelings that would lead to that... And right now, she couldn't think of things like that. It was almost like there was an actual, physical pain in her chest. Is this what a broken heart felt like? Jeez, someone's melodramatic. c wut i ded der? | |

| Pine knew this thing called "personal space", but she just simply didn't give a shet about one's wants and needs. It was either you get her that cookie she asked for, or you get shot in the arse with an arrow. She began making the boy uncomfortable, what with the pulling him closer with a hand so that their faces were almost pressed together. Pine was just loving this.
Happy, on the other hand, was not. He was too shocked to even utter a hello. When he squirmed away, it only resolved in him being dragged right back, closer to her than before. He eventually just gave up and leaned outward as she leaned towards him. Ohgod somebody please save him. And, as if his silent plea were a cue, he spotted someone in the corner of his eye. It was Melody Delangelo. When he saw her coming over, he tried eagerly to push Pine's face away, or duck out of her arms. No, Happy. Piney was going to lurve you to death. As if he had no respect for Pine's feeling, he waved a hand over to her. "Melodyyyy," he moaned to her.
The girl's grip was finally released by her own doing. She was giggling too much about his struggles. When he practically leapt from her grasp, he staggered forward, over to Melody, forehead beaded with small amounts of sweat. He turned to look at Pine before skittering behind Melody, peeking from behind her. The girl was just sitting there devilishly, with legs crossed, and twirling her hair around a finger. Oh, today was just turning out really awkwa-- Wait, did she just call him kitten? And not only kitten, but she had stressed it out, and called it out loud enough for the entire courtyard to hear.
Hoping to forget about the girl sitting on the bench, Happy tried to ask casually, "soooo~ What, ah, brings you to the... courtyard?"

| Well, wasn't this interesting. Apparently, Happy has been getting around. Or, that's what it looked like to Melody, at least. She didn't happen to see the flight instinct practically screaming in his gaze, just saw Pine's pleasure... And the amusement. She was playing him like a fiddle. Just... How interesting. Melody's smile didn't waver, in fact she grinned and gave Pine a wave. "Hiya." She greeted cheerfully. She almost let out a giggle as Happy moaned her name, her mind rolling into the gutter. Because come on... He moaned her name. Again, don't judge. Melody twisted her neck to look at him as Happy scurried behind her, protecting himself from this strange, strange girl.
Of course, she meant kitten in a totally kidding manner, even if was rather cruel with her knowing that Happy had a thing for her. But, you know, old habits die hard. And those nicknames, as said before, weren't something she was willing to give up. The were just so damn amusing to her. D;
Melody focused on his question, looking down to face him, since she was a bit taller than him. "Well, I was just kinda walking, and I spotted you, and figured I'd come over to say hey." She answered, just as casually. Her lips twitched into a mischievous grin. "But if I'm interrupting something, then I can leave..." She said in a light, teasing tone as she trailed off. Honestly, she hoped it was nothing. She didn't take this girl as Happy's... type. Oh God, did he even have a type? Honestly, Mel assumed Happy as the cootiephobic kind of type. Be he had admitted to a crush on her, so... Was she his type? Though, her and Pine were nothing a like. as far as she knew. >:C

| Happy felt safer behind Melody, and Pine was now labeled as some kind of creep to Happy. He watched them greet each other casually. Thank goodness she did come over. Who knows what Pine would've done after her creepy advances? At the sound of her teasing remark, his eyes grew wide. In a natural reaction, Happy grabbed her wrist and tugged it towards him. "No!" he said rather sharply. He did not fancy the idea of being left with this girl whom he did know the name of. At his awkward reaction, he let go and took a step back, blushing a bit. "N- No... um, you should stay, please?"
Pine kicked her feet cheerfully as she sat on the bench. She gave a small wave to the girl in front of her, a warm smile on her face. For now, at least. She watched the scene play out in front of her, and she snickered a little. Leaning forward, placing her head on her hands, and elbows on her legs, she stared, grinning a bit. "You two are so cute together!" she commented, eavesdropping into their conversation and butting into their personal...ness. Clapping her hands together, as if coming up with a solution, she hopped to her feet. "You two are an item?" she said. It was more a statement than a question, and she said it as if cracking a code.
Happy watched her as she sat in a relaxed way, easily listening in. Then, sticking her nose into their personal...ness, she just had to comment. He didn't say anything, just stood there, hands linked behind his back. He kept his eyes trained on the ground. Cute together? Happy didn't fully grasp the meaning of the word "cute", and he pondered the thought a bit. The sudden clap of her hands startled him from his thoughts. Then, the girl asked a nosy question, beaming. "A- A what?" he wondered, lifting his head up to look at Pine.

| Melody wasn't sure what to think of Pine yet, but at this moment, there was no warm fuzzy feelings directed at the pretty little blonde. Though, as soon as Happy's hands wrapped around her wrists, her thoughts were immediately interrupted and she looked at him, a hint of surprise behind her crimson eyes. He wasn't particularly strong- no offense, Haps- but she was startled and stumbled forward a bit. Mel was also confused by the sharpness in his tone, this confusion also shining in her eyes. Whenever he let go of her wrist, she awkwardly dropped her hand to her side, though it felt wrong there for some reason. Alone. Cold. "Al- alright. No problem." She responded, at once understanding the panic in his voice and gesture. He didn't want to be left alone with Little Miss Rapest over there.
Her thoughts were far away, but Pine's comment sent Melody hurtling back to Earth, once again in surprise. Her jaw dropped, leaving a little 'o' between her lips. Cute? Her.. And Happy? Wait, what did she say? Together?! No, no. Silly Pine. They were just friends. Nothing more. Best friends, maybe. But there was absolutely no reason to believe that there could ever be a 'together' throw in there. No. Just... No. No no no.
Then, the idea of an item. An item. She couldn't believe that! No, they most certainly were not such thing. Unfortunately, Melody couldn't reply for a long moment, probably showing a hint of doubt. It was just surprise though, she was certain! "I'm sorry," She let out a sharp, nervous laugh, narrowing her eyes a bit at Pine. "We are most certainly not an item." She reassured, laughing again, as if the idea was funny. No, it scared her!
But... Why should it? Did it scare her, or simply interest her in a... confusing way? Conflict flashed in her eyes. If you looked there, it would give everything away. They flickered to Happy, then to Pine, then to her hands, at the ground, then back at Happy before repeating.

| What was an item? Happy wondered what it meant. Melody answered Pine with a weak laugh and a declining answer. Whatever it was, Melody obviously didn't think they were the sort. He decided that it'd be safer if he just kept his mouth shut for the time being and not ask about it. The topic unnerved Melody, apparently, and Pine's decisive tone didn't help either of them.
Pine circled them, examining them closely. She clutched her bow in a firm grip in a palm. "Mhm," she mused, eyeing them both up and down. After a few awkward moments, she snickered lightly. "Such a shame," Pine commented, "but don't worry! I can change that for you!" She backed away from them and gave a half-smile. Then, she took her earlier stance with the bow, but pulled out one of her 'special' arrows and took aim.
Happy didn't move, but followed her with his eyes and head. He pressed himself against Melody, little to his knowledge. He was very nervous and uncomfortable as she circled them, a small devilish smile visible on her face. He just wanted this girl to leave them alone. Opening his mouth to question, he stopped himself right as she came up with a solution. The girl shuffled backwards and aimed at Melody. Happy's eyes widened. What was she doing!? Fear pulsed through the boy as his first instinct was to cower and skitter away a few paces. The arrow was locked on, and finally shot forward. Happy held back a yelp, covering his eyes. What a heroic person; trying to save the girl who was most likely going to die.
The arrow finally pierced into the young woman's hindquarters, staying on her for a few still moments before dissolving into thin air. She was still in one piece, thankfully, but...
Happy removed his hands from his face, shuddering a little. "Wh- Why did you do that-- You could have killed her!" Filled with concern, Happy rushed over to her, a little dumbfounded. "M... Mel... ody? Are you okay?"

| Poor, poor innocent Happy. ;w; Not knowing what an item was, and probably not able to comprehend what's about to happen to him. *shot* "Wait... What?" Melody asked, a little dumbstruck. She had no idea what Pine meant. Was she planning on playing match maker or something? Because that was a completely crazy idea, in Melody's opinion- wait, why was she aiming at Melody? What, was this chick mentally unstable, and thought she was cupid? She questioned the fact that kids like her were allowed in this school as she stared down that heart tipped arrow. Wait... Heart tipped?
Her thoughts were interrupted as Happy pressed closer against her side. She suppressed an eye roll, more so annoyed by this chick then scared. I mean, shooting us made no sense. Seriously! Melody craned her neck in order to see what Pine was doing, and followed the basic direction of the arrow... Why was it pointing at her? Alright, now Mel was a little uneasy. And then, it hit her. Like an arrow. Probably because it was an arrow. Whenever Pine finally sent forth the heart shaped weapon, Melody let out a startled cry and attempted to jump out of the way, but she wasn't quick enough. She barely noticed Happy scramble away, but it annoyed her. I mean, come on dude! She'd like a little help? Maybe he could have jumped in front of her or somethi- holyshet. She was quiet for a moment, all word stuck in her throat. Seriously, how come she never noticed how freaking sexy Happy was? His shiny black hair that fell over his eyes in the most adorable way. She bet it was soft, and she wanted to lock her hands in that hair... His eyes, a deep blue and clouded- she could just stare into those eyes all day. His skin, which probably felt like fire against her's, and his lips...
"I'm fine." She breathed quietly. "Now that you're here." And then she struck, putting one hand on his cheek and the other behind his head, pushing her lips to his.

| Finally postiiiing~ ;w;
The startled cry really made him jump, but afterwards he watched her with eyes that were tinted with guilt. Jeez, that sounded like it hurt. In the midst of all his rambling, he managed to sneak in a few apologies. After all, it was his fault that he didn't do anything to save her. Well, in Happy's mind, it was. It was mainly the girl's fault, whom was laughing up a storm. Happy felt like marching up to her and showing her who was boss. Ahaha, good one Happy. ;w;
Asking her if she was alright, he awaited sheepishly for a response. When she confirmed she was okay, he gave a small sigh of relief. She added something afterwards. What did she say? oAo Looking up at her, he squinted his eyes as if trying to figure something out. What did she mean by that? He didn't have time to think about it as Melody brought up her hands to his face, sending a cold shock shooting up his spine, making him tense up. She moved forward, and he tried to lean back, but her hands pulled him forward. His face began to turn a bright shade of red. Eeeh? Eeeeeh!? This was too close for comfort! Before he could even whimper a small question, he found her lips pressing onto his. WHAT!? Happy's eyes widened in surprise, another spark of astonishment jolting up his spine. What was... going on? Happy's small mind couldn't process this sudden new feeling. What was this? ... Was this really...
...Happy's first kiss? ;w;
His tenseness slowly dissolved away, and he relaxed. Slowly but surely, he returned the kiss, pressing forward, eyes half-closed. This was so new to him.
It was as if Pine weren't standing there watching with complete amusement.
