Soccer and archery lateer

rose ran over to the soccer area with her cleats and soccer ball. she had put her stuff away in her locker and would later practice her archery skills with who ever came.

Nathaniel stood at the side of the field, wondering if he was interrupting anything. He watched Rose with a small smile on his face and his hands stuffed in his pockets, wondering when she would notice him.

Eric was already watching from the bleachers. He had arrived shortly before Nate.

rose juggled the soccer ball with her legs for a little bit until she missed one and it rolled away from her towards Nate. looking towards her ball she finally saw him "hey" she said and ran over "how long have you been standing there?" she asked him her pony tail hitting her face.

Nate flicked his gaze over to where Eric was standing. I'm watching you. >3> loljk. The young man shrugged, giving Rose a small smile. "Not too long." He said, looking at her curiously. "I wanted to take you up on your offer to watch your archery... had no idea you played soccer too." He sounded a little impressed, especially since he was challenged in just about every sport known to man.

"um yea, it pretty cool, Used to be on the school team before coming here" she said brushing her bangs away from her eyes. "if you want to wait I can practice soccer later and I'll meet you in the archery box/thingy" she said

"I'd play soccer with you guys, but it'd be a bit unfair, even with me by myself. You'd probably lose." He grinned, challenging them. He definitely had the advantage. But he wanted to see if that would be enough.

"prove it" rose said her attention moving from Nate to Eric "takes skill not just speed" she said taunting.

He wondered for a moment what school she had gone to before, he must have heard of it at some point. There weren't that many around.
The young man nodded, "I'll see you there..." Nate turned around, not exactly willing to follow her into the changing room, and headed to the archery field.
... Or he was about too, before Eric came zooming in. "Oh, no thank you." He said simply, but stopped. Maybe their plans would change?

"I'm sure. I'm not the best sports player but I have reflexes too. You sure?" he teased.

"hey I'm just saying to show me not play me" she said smiling.

He stepped out to the field, grinning. "Lets go."

"Hmph." That Eric certainly was a lot of talk. He sat down on a bench, eager to watch the two.

"ok bring it" she said a quick flash of what was his first move came to her and she smiled knowingly.

His body blurred and the ball went flying towards the net at extremely high speeds just over her head.

"nice" she said dribbling it back to the center and dribbling with some tallent hit inside the top right corner

Eric shifted again and kicked the ball in the opposite direction, though he nearly fell over doing such. He then glanced back to the ball, now on the other side of the gymnasium.

"nice dodge, but if you didn't have your super speed you wouldn't stand a chance" she said glaring at him

"And you aren't using your powers? " He accused.

"I can see things not stop them" she said

"I'm using my gift, yes. And I am fully aware that without it, I would be terrible. I did mention that..." He said kind of awkwardly.

"exactly now let see you without your gift" she said smiling.

"No thanks. I've mentioned I'm bad at sports, and you took me in here saying that 'speed isn't everything'. If it's not, show me." He challenged back.

"exactly without your speed you would be nothing" rose said noticing the challenge.

"I know I would, I've been trying to say that." He said, slightly exasperated. "I'm terrible at soccer. Happy?" He sighed.
