Run! The library!

Randy raced through the halls as he tried to avoid multiple girls his age. He sat in a chair so he didn't pace out, running pale hands through his longish dark gold/orange hair.

A girl sat on the window sill, her eyes skimming her book, she flipped the page. Her golden eyes flickered over to the boy, the quickly back to her page. She folded the edge down and bit her lip. "What are you running from?" Aislinn asked in a small voice, holding her thick book against her faded hoodie.

Randy had had his head down on the table. He looked up instantly to the newcomers voice. "Aurgh!" was all the sound you heard as he fell over. "G-g-g-girls." he muttered.

Aislinn backed up two or three steps when he fell. "I'm so sorry!" She said, extending a hand then pulling it back quickly. Her lips curled into a slight smile. "Why were your running from girls?" She questioned lightly.

"Because they are girls, duh" Randy said as if it were oblivous. He pushed himself up, slightly swaying. "Rnady Murray." he informed her.

She nodded, as if it was completely logical, and backed up a couple more steps. "Aislinn Jay Tucker. Or AJ." The boy didn't seem like he was a very important figure, so she gave him the nickname her dad had alotted her years ago.

Rnady? Important? Pssh.

"What's your power?" Randy asked, sitting back down. "Mine is the ability to change how I look."

"The ability of forcefields. After training I'll be able to project them, and ward of physical harm. Now I can only do mentally." Aislinn said a little bitterly.
