Window Sill :D

The week had provided for good reading weather, & so Aislinn utelised the moments she was given, plopping down with a book where ever she could. This spot just happened to be in the hallway, in a window seat. The red head had crawled into the cozy space, tucked her legs in, and begun the newest chapter in her book. It was about a girl who'd lost her father to a tragic accident. The main character had recently found out that this accident wasn't so accidental. It enthralled Aislinn, as she felt like she was part of the girls plan to sleuth out the killer & bring him or her to justice. She already even had an idea about who the criminal was.
Outside her window, lightening struck the ground, and a few kids who had a gift for the weather were outside living it up.

Stephen walked down the hallway, having had been in the library before, he had finished his studying for the day and was now on his way to relaxing in his dorm. He was a little zoned out, taking comfort at the sound of the pouring rain; he kept his gaze straight until the lightning had struck. Stopping a few feet in front of where Aislinn was reading, he glanced out the window to try and catch the glaring light. He hadn't even noticed the young woman sitting there and as soon as it had passed he started to walk back to his room.

Aislinn looked away as the lightning bolt hit the ground outside, catching the silhouette of someone she used to know. YOU DIDNT HAVE TO CUT ME OFF!. Stephen? She thought, standing, and walking over to him. In her mind this had gone a lot better than planned. When she grabbed his shoulder, she was absolutely loss for words. "Um...." Was all she could muster, angry at herself for not thinking this through better.

He froze when he felt someone grab his shoulder. It was a familiar touch, but unexpected in every way. Stephen turned around slowly, looking down at Aislinn. "You again?" he question. Stephen was a man of very little words.

Quickly letting his shoulder go, Aislinn moved away a few steps. "I ju- I just wanted to let you know that I am not a slut." She said, all her confidence crumbling away. You could see it written all over her face. I mean, she wasn't a slut, she'd never even kissed a dude. And she had no need to prove herself to this guy, but it ate at little Aj's conscience that he could walk around thinking that. /shot cx

He turned to face her completely, staring with a blank expression on his face before commenting, "You were enjoying yourself." Stephen watched her composure fall, but stayed steady.

She looked away from him blushing. "No I didn't! It was a dare." Aislinn said defensively, her golden eyes burning when she finally did look at him.

"Then you wouldn't have responded to my challenge." Stephen smiled ever-so-slightly, "Or chased me down."

Aislinn chewed her bottom lip. "I didn't respond to your challenge. I'm the one that said you didn't mean it." Ever so softely, she pushed his shoulder, in a sort of yeah, that's right way. "And I didn't stalk you down. I was sitting on the window sill, & I saw you walk by."

Not what he had meant, but alright. Stephen's smile went away and he simly stared down at her for a few moments longer, her little shove not hard enough to budge him at all. "I believe you," he finally said. Maybe she was just a little too daring that night?

Aislinn looked away from him, ashamed that her shove hadn't even ruffled his shirt. "So you don't think I'm a slut?" She asked, blinking.

Stephen stared down at her before slowly shaking his head "no".

Aislinn finally smiled, and looked up at Stephen. "Well thank you." She said graciously, running a nervous hand through her hair.

"You're welcome." Stephen smiled back softly and started to turn away once again, "You were clearly too inexperienced to be considered one."

Wait one dang minute! "I'm in-experienced? Says the boy with the promise ring." Aislinn retorted, crossing her arms under her breast. "Not that there's anything wrong with a promise ring, it's just , you should be the in-experienced one." Although she knew he probably done far worse than she had.

"Is it your ego that has you defend your little dance, or what is it?" Stephen slit his ice, blue eyes; peering down at Aislinn in mild annoyance.

OOC: who's going to like the other first?

Aislinn starred back into his icy eyes, her own flaming ones doing nothing to melt their chill. "No. It's nothing that should concern you." She said, wrapping her arms around her waist.

Stephen leaned back up, tilting his head ever so slightly to the side, "You confuse me, Miss." He said quietly, to hardly be heard over the storm.

"It's not like your completely crystal clear either." Aislinn said, raising an eyebrow & pouting just a little bit. The storm raged harder outside, making the indoors seem like a bomb shelter.

"And I would prefer to keep it that way." Stephen retorted, a frown of his own coming onto his face. He ignored the large store outside. "But you..."

Crossing her arms under her chest, Aislinn screwed up her mouth in a scowl. "I believe that I have the right to keep myself private." She said, raising an eyebrow, as if to say Are you going to deny me my rights.

"Of course," he slit his eyes, "It is that I can't understand you in the least that intruiges me, but acting in it only leads to more confusion. It's rather frustrating." Stephen shook his head, "But you're right. Good day." He had soothed her mind, therefore there was no longer any reason to talk with her, right?

Frustration welled in Aislinn's mind as the feeling of poking & prodding in her concious overwhelmed her. She shoved Stephen hard, eyebrows slanted in anger. "Get OUT of my mind!" She screamed, taking two steps back.

Stephen was about to turn around and mind his own before she had shoved him, forcing him to take a few steps back, surprisingly. All he could do was look at Aislinn as if she were insane. 'What is with this girl?!'

Aislinn grabbed a handful of her hair at the roots, clutching the side of her head. "I know you are doing something to my head! Get out!!" She screeched, squeezing her eyes closed realllllly tight.
