Sarah listened to Nate quietly for a few minted before turning back to Melody and nodding. "This is the only place I can really think and just be myslef when I cant be outside, and I tend to do a lot of studying," she told her with a small smile.

Nate didn't say anything to Aravis, not sure exactly why she was apologizing to him. 'Jeez, I'm so stupid. What the hell made me think I could have someone like Mel? Really.' He almost banged his head against the side of the piano, 'Get a grip, Nate. Man up.' He took in a deep breathe and forced himself to calm down, focusing on his song. Seriously, what was going on? He had never doubted himself like that before. He was awesome and sexy, damn well did he know it, and he knew there had to be something between him and Melody; it was... other matters that bothered him. Nathaniel shook his head and tried to keep all his attention on the piano, only listening to the girls' conversation on the side.

Melody laughed. "I applaud your dedication to school- to be honest, I only come here because-" She almost mentioned her iPod. Only Happy knew about that, and she was sure as Hell not going to tell anyone else. "Erm, I like a good read every now and then." Her pause was short, and she hoped Sarah didn't notice. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Why couldn't she at least keep a secret to herself? That sent her mood a few more notches down, although it didn't show. She was pretty good at hiding her feelings. Truth was, she wasn't big into reading. She fancied fictional stories and romance every now and then, but that was about it. "But you know, you can be yourself anytime." She said softly, a genuine smile on her face. It was just a ghost of one, but nonetheless, it was a smile.

Sarah looked down as Melody made that statement, knowing it was true. The only problem was that she didn't exactly have any friends to be open with so she was usually quite bashful, which was one trait she hated. "Yeah I know. I just... I get awkward around people I don't know which is basically everyone here except for Happy."
