Being artistic

"What do you mean by parents?"She asked looking from her finger,to the bean bag,and then to James.

"my mom and dad the ones who raised me most of my life" he said "i have a picture of them in my room if you want to see them." he said.

She just shrugged"I guess."

"ok be right back" he said and ran into his room. digging through his bag he found the picture of his parents sitting on the porch of their house. He walked back into the room after a few minutes with the picture in hand, he offered the picture to maliea

After she was done looking it over She said"Would you finish the drawing I''m getting a headache from my powers." all the colors looked bright to her now.

"oh yea sure" he said and quickly adding some more to her face and clothing "here done" he said and showed her his finished drawing "I may paint it later but I'm not sure" he added.

She stopped the acid and her head fell to the back of the couch"So,where do you think the others are?"

"I dont know, maybe at the cafeteria or something like that" he said shrugging his shoulders

She was too tired to get up so she asked"So what is there to do in a school like this?"

"I hear there is a gym, you can play sports, swim, archery, did I say swim" he smiled.

She found her strenghth then got up"I know you don't know this,but water drains my powers." she then sat back down.

"oh really?" he said surprised "water is where my powers happen" he said stretching his legs.

She looked up at the roof "Good for you." she then ran her fingers through her hair.

"so what do you wana do?" he asked

She looked straight at him"I can't think of what to do.You do know you don't have to stay here right?"

"yea but, I went swimming a few hrs ago and I dont want to go back just yet." he said looking at his drawing of her.

She looked around the dorm"So,do the others know that you like to draw?" she asked as she noticed what the dorm really looked like.

"not that I know, I haven't told them or anything" he said getting up and grabbing a glass from the cabinet

Maleia reached into the couch then pulled out a picture she had hidden.She stuffed it in her pocket"Why do you think they started this school other than to hone our powers?"

"I dont know maybe they are just trying to be good citizens or eat or brains" he said acting like a zombie.

She narrowed her eyes"I don't take jokes,you might find acid in your mouth when you are asleep." she said getting angry"You don't think they are going to make us an army?"she asked going back to sweet voice.

"no I wouldn't think so, What would we attack?" he asked stoping the zombie act.

"Just think,why would they take us in?They have to be planning something ."

"Maybe or your just to suspicious" james added filling his glass with some water from the sink

She turned the tv on"Too cautios,yes,but I don't want a repeat." she looked around againTo find a stable surface.
