Daydrea...Studying!

Alex sat, alone, in the library with a book. He was staring at the pages, and turning them occasionally. Anyone who saw him from a distance or just glanced, he appeared to be reading. What he was really doing, was visible from a very close perspective. His eyes didn't scan over the page, in fact, some would wonder why he'd removed his glasses. He couldn't see without them.

A little boy skipped silently over to him and sat down. The little blonde was also wearing glasses, much older fashioned. He whispered something to the older Alexi, and Alex looked up. There were few others in the library, but there were still enough to set him on edge.

Eric walked in silently with a book on unnatural things, people in history with inhuman speed and other things of the like. He sat down at the table next to Alexi and began reading. He paid nobody any attention, but he did give one glance at Alexi as he sat down.

Al nearly jumped when the boy sat next to him. It was a person, sitting next to him. The five year old across from Alex watched curiously. That had been his favorite age. Before his green hair. Before he had begun hating people. All Alexi did now was try to ignore the presence next to him. That was difficult when you could hear them breath.

Eric glanced up at Al's obvious reaction to his sitting there. "Would you rather I sit elsewhere?". He didn't say it rudely or anything, but rather as an honest question.

"Uh...." Was Al's first response. He really wanted to say yes, yes please! It would have sounded rude, and this kid hadn't gotten on his nerves. Yet. "No, it's fine. I just-just have this strange reaction to people." He decided to call it that. His parents, when they spoke of this problem, called it his disorder.

He nodded. "I prefer not to be around people, but I'm not adverse to making friends. What is your name? I'm Eric."

"Alexi. Alex or Al work too." He said, smiling for a little. It felt good to smile, especially if he was talking to someone. It soothed him a little. He tried not to rock back and forth as he spoke. It was difficult to talk to people, but he was never going to be alone all his life. He'd promised himself that much. He'd make friends this year.

He looked around. "Any good books?"

"Uhh. Well. I can't remember any titles really well." He replied, relaxing a little on the subject of books. You couldn't love school and not love books.

"I happened to find a subject on my gift. It's actually pretty interesting, if not engrossing..." He trailed off as he looked a little more throug his book.

"Heh. I don't see how mines special." He said. The little boy across the table looked offended. "Oh, well, it does give me much wanted company. I bring talking to myself to a whole new level." He said, chuckling at his own little joke about his power.

"Oh, well what is your power? I am able to move at inhuman speeds. According to this ill be able to create sonic booms when my gift reaches maturity... At the moment I barely move faster than normal. " He said

The little boy across the table huffed. Nobody noticed.

"You know, I'm 5. You wouldn't think someone like me would be attmitted at my age, do you?" The little boy asked, staring across the table towards the super speed dude.

"That's cool. Probably more useful then mine." He said, sending a glare across the table. To the boy he glared at, he said, "and they did admit you, but just in 11 more years." He shot. It was easy to talk to himself. He often got ticked at the little boys, but they knew him, and they didn't mind at all.

"Uhh, if you haven't noticed already, I can duplicate myself. Except, not my current self. Just past a future selves." He said, trying to explain his gift.

Suddenly, next to Eric and Alex, a boy's head appeared from the bookshelf, his blue eyes shining. "Hello!" Wendall said cheerfully as he stepped from it. By the looks of it, he was only 13, which he was. His short grey hair covered his face but he quickly brushed it behide his ear.

Saurin popped up in the library, with a loud "Thud" in the middle of the telekinesis section of the library. He stood up and rubbed the back of his head. "Ugh talk about a rough landing." He stepped outside the isle and looked over at the group who was chatting at the table.

Suddenly the little boy at the table disappeared. In his place there sat a taller, much older looking man. He appeared around 20, and his hair was a light greenish blonde.

"Can't you see you're scaring him?" He stated to the others around Al. At the moment Alexi was sitting, holding the book he had been reading. He appeared to be holding back from rocking in his chair. Too many people.

"Uh. I-it's a-a-alright. " He stuttered. He knew it would be. The only way to face his fear was to talk to them.

"If you say so." The man then disappeared, and in his place the little boy came back. It appeared his future selves were over his fear. So why the man had said that, Alex had no clue.

Taking a deep breath he said, "sorry about that. Not used to so many people." Al actually felt somewhat embarrassed by that whole thing. He looked down to hide his red face.

"Yeah, I noticed. I can tell your not a people person. I can stand being around them, but one bad guy in a group can set me off. Though, " he said, looking at Alexi "it's easier when you're around friends."

Al nodded. He didn't want to be rude and say they weren't friends, but he'd just met them. He hardly counted them as acquaintances. Alex attempted to hold down his rocking, and the little boy disappeared. They tended to do that depending on his emotions. It was strange.
