The Third Class

"how do you like beta academy?" she asked

James smiled and was tempted to hug her like a teddy bear but held himself back

"Um..good so far." she replied, even though it was a lie. This school gave her a bad feeling.

"that's good, there are a lot of nice people here" she said "just if looking for a boyfriend Felix is mine" she said making that clear

Aravis flinched. She took this as a threat so she quickly said" No! I have another in mind."

""good luck then" she said softer

"Ya, you too." she wasn't sure if this girl was a friend or not.

Alex, irritated by the chatting students, stopped tapping his foot. He was done waiting. "Alright, come on. Once you go through the portal, you're going to want to run towards the training area. Once you're there you're going to go behind the building. Wait for instructions there." he said, standing in front of the Portal. A smile spread across his face. He had been waiting the whole schoolyear for this. "And when I say run, I mean that if you don't we'll have to be pick what's left of you out of a poor creature's teeth. Those dragon carcasses have attracted some attention, and they now serve as low income housing." Alex explained. "Whatever you do, don't look at them. If you do they'll charge. And don't try to fight them." As he finished his sentence, he touched the portal, teleporting to the seperate realm of the Island.

Lynn, after Alex's orders, was a little nervous to go. She wanted to go with the others, but William had other plans. He leaped through the portal after the Guardian, knocking the girl off balance and making her touch the Portal and teleport to the other side with a small squeal of surprise.

Violet nearly shrunk a couple of inches after Alex's warning, but she willed herself not to. Okay, now she really didn't want to start the third class. Gripping her boomerang until her knuckles turned white, she nervously followed the crowd through the portal.

Payton gripped the handles of her hook swords, looking at the portal nervously. Just relax. you'll be fine, she reassured herself, though she was growing more tense by the second. Putting on her brave face, Payton took a deep breath and walked through the portal.

Emil gulped. Why was he here?
He touched the portal, and as soon as he felt himself in a new environment, he started running.

Randy gripped his scythe and walked slowly through the portal. Once he was through, he raced to the training center and when he passed the dragons' carcass, he turned his face to the oppisite side.

Reed gulped. What? Were the dragon bodies now being used as new shells for other creatures? Why would they charge it they looked into their eyes? Reed had so many questions she wanted to ask. But Alex was gone, and Reed was left with big eyes and white hair. She quickly tried shaking the white hair, white skin, and icy blue eyes, but they only turned partially back to their original color. Great, Reed thought. She now appeared with light orange hair, teal eyes, and pale skin (rather than albino). She stepped towards the portal, and bolted the instant she was through, her Chakrams clutched in her hands.

Alexi wasn't aware that a little boy had not been produced next to him, but rather a full grown man. Normally when he was scared, a little boy came. But if he was terrified, a man came. He looked towards the guy, nearly yelped in fright, recognized himself at age 25, and relaxed. The man vanished, and Al headed towards the portal. What could be so bad? He gripped his boomerangs tighter, and touched the portal hitting into a sprint.

Louis was scared, yeah, but not terrified. Sure, the idea that they might be dead before the lesson was over was, well, terrifying, she didn't feel scared. Her bow and arrow were no real defense against objects close up, but she could easily use an arrow as a spear or knife. She tugged at the green necklace they had been given in their first lesson, and made sure her coin from the second was there too. When she was through, she sprinted, completely focused on the target they were given.

Nathan turned the corner into the room, having heard all of the instructions and almost laughing at Lynn when she was pushed through the portal with a squeak. He hung his bow around his shoulder and gripped the small melee blade at the side of his belt. Alright, running like hell past a bunch of dangerous, man-eating monsters. Seemed simple enough. Not like he had planned on getting close anyways with his choice of weapon.

The young man decided that all this people were taking to long and started to work his way through the crowd. "Sorry, Rose -- ah, and Greg -." He called behind as he brushed past a little to harshly. Finally working his way through, he touched the glowing orb with the tip of his hand before disappearing in a flash.

It was when he arrived if he wondered if it were smart to go on alone, or if he should have waited for anyone else to travel with. He decided it was too late now to consider it and ran for the unknown space behind the class building.

Maleia walked slowly through the portal, bored out of her mind. Then she thought If the guardian had a smile, great! I get to have some fun. She quickly brightened up, and gave a small hard too see smile.

Aravis just walked through the portal too. She was scared at what the guardian said. so just stuck behind the group.

Rose nodded and sprinted thought the portal this thing always makes me foggy she thought

James stayed behind maleia the whole time

Melody- who was one of those closer to the portal, patiently waited for others to past. Partly because she was scared out of her mind, and partly because hey, if there did happen to be monsters and they attacked, the more targets the better. A less likely chance of getting sliced and diced or burned to a crisp. She saw Nathaniel pass, and decided that maybe it would be good going with a partner who had a bow- not like she thought he could use it. So considerate and kind, Melody. She then stepped through the portal.
Mel waited a moment as her eyes adjusted to the new light and surroundings before setting off after Nate. Melody couldn't help but take a peek around as she ran, and her eyes darted towards the carcasses before flickering away, her gaze returning to her path ahead.

An excited Carter was quick to jump through the portal and on to the island. He raced forward towards the training center, eyes glued ahead. Carter wasn't necessarily a fast person, so he happened to stay a little bit near the end, but made sure not to be the last one. Somewhat due to pride, another part due to the fact he didn't want to be picked off...

Greg immediately entered the portal, excited about today's class. He sprinted with the others, hardly a thought racing through his mind other than his orders from Alex, his goal. Trina, however, was more hesitant and cautious. She entered with the other stragglers, running a bit more slowly.

Emil looked around, obviously curious, but kept running. His glances were short, and he didn't even see any creatures, but he made sure not to let his eyes wander any longer than necessary. He looked over the fragon carcasses once more, and quickly moved his head forward. His objective was close.

Kali looked around, intrigued as she stepped through the portal. What an odd feeling... she mused to herself. She dashed forward, following the others, focusing only on what lay ahead, her katars already equipped. Following many of the others, she headed behind the building, the stench of decay reaching her nostrils.

Taking a moment to make sure his sai were firmly strapped to his belt, Stephen made his way through the increasingly smaller crowd, not at all certain what was on the other side of the portal, but not at all afraid of what could possible be there either. He had always knew there were more things to the world than the average person knew; his life-long power had been proof of that, whether there were dangerous things amongst this new place was simple obvious.
Stephen flashed along with the rest of the class and headed with the crowd, not paying to much mind to the rotting dragons and their new tenants.

Nathan finally slowed down at he was half-way up the hill, most likely away from the dangers of whatever those dragons had hidden inside... literally. He glanced around, first to see who was a head of him, then back to see who was behind. "I was wondering if you were going to show up." he smirked at Melody, the one closest to where he was walking. He kept it in mind to hold tight to his bow and watch where he was going this time, wondering what the guardians could possibly have planned for them this time.

As the students sprinted towards him and began to gather Alex stood, both hands folded neatly behind his back. Being in charge of this class made him feel a bit like a real teacher, and this made him chuckle to himself a bit.

Behind the tall Guardian was a huge arena. It was longer than it was wide, stretching at least twenty feet. It had to be around ten feet at its widest, the whole thing being painted a bright red with white lines drawn on both ends and a circle in the center. It appeared to be made of wood, yet gave off the impression of a professional wrestling mat.

"Today you will be facing your fellow students in a tournament to test your progress with your gifts along with your weapons. Your opponents for the first round have already been chosen." Alex explained. The tone he used made it sound scripted, like he had rehearsed. "You can win by either knocking your opponent off of the platform or rendering them into a state where they can no longer fight and blah blah blah." The professional tone had been dropped. "You can give up at any time during the fight and you can't kill people. Fight as dirty as you'd like, I don't care." he said, dropping his arms to his sides. Alex picked up a piece of paper with a hastily drawn brackets. "First up for Round One is Maleia... Zelak..." Alex said, struggling with the foreign sounding name. "And... Lilac Reid."

He quickly identified the two students and directed them to Alex's makeshift arena. "You'll both start out on opposite ends. Go ahead, now."

Alright, people. We'll be judging each match and decide the winner. Just have a couple of posts of fighting and then we'll PM you who is going to win, and you can carry it out. Then it'll be someone else's turn. It'll carry on like this until we have our Champion. So have fun killing each other.

Maleia sighed at being the first. She didn't really want too start, but she had too. She got up on the platform, waiting for Lilac.

Lena, and Nyla were with the group of students the whole time.

ic: Lilac's eyes popped out of her head. "Me? Really!? Awesomeness!" She hopped to her feet and clutched her war scythe in both palms, grinning. She jumped onto the platform, watching Maleia. She wondered what her power was, but she saw the Halberd (I think ono) in her hands and continued to smile. The young girl rushed towards her swiftly, eyes watching her like a hawk. Her war scythe pointed towards her opponent and aimed a strike.

Maleia flipped the Halberd to it's pointed side, and stuck it out. If this girl was stupid enough too keep running, she would die.

Lilac kept running stared ahead as she noticed she jabbed the Halberd at her. Ducking down, she did some sort of limbo move underneath the Halberd. She felt the sharp point graze through her hair as she soared underneath it. Lilac finally brought herself back to her feet to Maleia's side and gave a small laugh. A few hairs were missing from her head, and she didn't seem to notice. Staggering about a bit from the quick dodge, the girl lashed her scythe out at her feet in an attempt to unbalance her. Then, maybe she could get a good blow to her stomach.
