The First Class

Maleia woke minutes later in a daze.She saw the others on the rock, and she stumbled to her feet, her vision a blur.Maleia felt a little wet, so she looked at her arm which was bleeding, too much use of my powers. she thought. She leaned up against a tree, waiting for the recovery.

Felix woke soon after Maleia and groaned and clutched his side "Ow..."

Maleia's back was also bleeding from her , so when she weakly walked off the blood stayed on the tree.She was tripping all over the place, when she just sank to her knees, holding onto her shoulder.The blood ran like a stream of water dripping onto the grass from her arm.

Alex quickly turned his sights on the other dragon, making a small fireball that grew and grew until it reached an enormous size. He then released it, hitting the beast and making it screech in pain as fire consumed its body. It came crashing to the ground next to the others, flames burning through the soft wings. It wasn't quite dead, but it would be soon.

"That about wraps it up."

Felix looked over at the guardians "Did we do good?" he asked still clutching his side

Maleia shook her head" No. You need help?" she asked weakly rising to her feet.

Irene watched as the dragons fell and glanced in Maleia direction, "Are any of you dead?" She called, questioning back.

Maleia covered her shoulder knowing the blood wouldn't show" Felix and Rose." she called back.

Felix look at Maleia "I'm not dead"

"I meant hurt!" she said walking over to him holding out her hand to help him up.

Felix laughed and took her hand and when he was up he groaned and picked Rose up

Irene sighed watched Felix picked up Rose, starting to drag her down. She sighed and draw a small bag at her side. The earth guardian walked by each of the students, inspecting to see which ones were still alive. Surprisingly, they all were. As she went, she handed each one a thing gold chain with a small, mysterious, green pendant. "Keep these on you at all times." she told them, "They will be needed later on."
After she finished, she had disappeared down the hill for a few moments, reappearing with a small light-orb in her hands - a piece of the portal. With the work of the other guardians, the group was transported back into the hall-way in one instant flash, back into the school grounds.

"Well, I wouldn't say you all did well, but it was a decent start."

Carter and Melody both looked at the pendants with interest.

Melody toyed with it, curiously wondering what it was for. Perhaps it gave all the students privileges, or maybe it was just to show they didn't die the first day. Would they need it for the next class? Thank God this one was over, she thought, following Irene through the portal. She couldn't wait to get home and take a icey cold bath. As she walked forward, she felt the pain in her leg for the first time. Then she remembered getting hit by the dragon. Looking down, she was relieved that the burn was small, but it didn't make it feel any better. So she limped on forward with a grimace on her face.

Carter didn't worry about the green jewelry, and instead threw it around his neck with pride. He hadn't died, and did a prominent part in defeating the dragons. Having watched Alex and Desken kill the beasts in mere moments, he had new respect for the Guardians- and newfound fear. The zealous and still excited boy followed Melody and the Guardians closely, and looked around with a yearnful sigh as they made it back to campus. He already missed training.

Maleia stumbled through the portal. She didn't look at the pendand, but knew it was bad luck.

Eric watched as the last of the beasts fell. Meanwhile, he gritted his teeth and took his leg, and pulled it together so that the bone was as it should be, though it was still broken. He nearly cried out, and would've if he had not been clenching his jaw. He recieved his pendant and put it on. Then he got to his feet, and appyling as little weight as possible, limped to the portal.

When Eric was throught the portal she, she supported his weight.

"Thanks." He grunted.

Irene flicked her gaze over to Trina's direction, not expecting to be addressed further. This type of question should have been expected. "Not quite up to your standards?" She smiled, a gentle tease, strange for her. Before anyone else could catch the look she quickly wiped it away. "I don't care where you keep it; your bag, your pocket, or around your neck. I expect you to care for it."

Felix grabbed the penant and slipped it around his neck and walked through the portal with Rose still in his arms

Lynn stood up after the class ended. She hadn't learned much at all about her powers. She was one of the few students that came out unscathed, surprisingly. Taking the pendant, she quickly pocketed it. Lynn wasn't at all intrigued about it and just wanted to leave and take a rest, giving a sigh of relief as she was teleported back to the Academy.

The class had ended? Both Alexi and Lou hadn't been paying much attention, and as everyone walked out, they felt somewhat guilty. They both grabbed a pendant, and neither cared about the appearance of it. They both walked through the portal.

Saurin shrugged, glad he made it out. He grabbed one of the pendants and walked through the portal.
